But in the Munich Circus...

German/English Translations

Even though my father is Russian and my mother is American, I was born and grew up in Germany. When the Professor brought me to America, he gave me a mental crash course in English, but I still use some German as it is my first language. Here are translations of the things I say most often. Let me know if I’ve left anything out.

Bitte - Please

Bitte- You’re welcome

Dankeschön - Thank you

Es tut mir leid - I’m sorry

Grüß Gott - Hello (not literally, but that is how it is used)

Guten Abend - Good evening

Gute Nacht - Good night (used when going to bed)

Guten Tag - Good day

Ich weiß nicht - I don’t know

Ja - Yes

Liebling - Darling

Nein - No

Mein(e)(er) - My

Mein Vogelchen - My little bird

Schatz (Schätzchen) - darling

Scheiße - shit, fuck (exclamation)

Tschüß (Tschüßi) - Good-bye (informal)

Vielen dank - Thank you very much

Wie bitte? - I beg your pardon, excuse me

((OOC Note: Please feel free to correct my German. I only took it for two years in high school. Just be nice about it. Thanks!))

But in the Munich Circus... Grüß Gott!
My name is Kurt (also known as Nightcrawler) and I am a student at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. I am mutant, more specifically, a furry, blue teleporter, complete with tail and German accent. I grew up in a circus and come with all sorts of emotional luggage. I am Catholic and taken, in case you were wondering, which you probably were not.
Anyway.
I am sure I would like to meet you (unless you think I am a demon in which case please leave).
I am a fervent advocate for equal rights for everyone and I love good, German dark chocolate.
